Objectives: Have students gain a deeper understanding of the insights of Braiding Sweetgrass and form a deeper connection to

the meanings behind the text and gain a deeper understanding of the indigenous wisdom surrounding plants and our

environment. We are excited to host our first author of a nonfiction work, and one that is especially adapted for young

adults.
